Gilbert Architects hosted an open house on Thursday, February 22 to honor the retirement of Tom Gilbert, Founding Principal, and Sharron Herr Gilbert, former Director of Business Development, while celebrating the team that will carry forward the legacy of Gilbert Architects.
Tom founded Gilbert Architects in 1988 with a simple yet powerful vision for the future of educational architecture: design schools that serve, inspire, and encourage our youth. Under his successful guidance, the firm became a leader in public K-12 educational design across the Mid-Atlantic region. Sharron came to Gilbert’s marketing department in 1999, culminating in her promotion to Director of Business Development over 15 years ago.
Garmann Miller’s CEO, Eric Baltzell, along with firm leaders Brian Wolf, Doug Rentz, and Matt Hibner were also on hand to meet our longtime clients, consultants, vendors, and friends. Gilbert Architects’ recent integration with Midwest K-12 design leader Garmann Miller empowers us to continue the same high-quality service and solutions our clients expect, now supported by over 90 team members across multiple design and planning disciplines.
Congratulations to Tom & Sharron!
