On March 3, 2018 Gilbert Architects was proud to celebrate the Groundbreaking Ceremony for Appoquinimink School District’s newest school, Lorewood Grove Elementary. The ceremony, with Governor John Carney as special guest, marked the start of construction of the 840-student elementary school in the Town of Whitehall. The Town of Whitehall is a true hometown, the first town to be founded in Delaware in over a century, a place where kids can ride their bikes to friends’ homes, then on to the corner store or to the park. The children will be able to walk to school!
