Thomas W. Gilbert, AIA, REFP, attended the AEC (Architecture, Engineering and Construction) Education Summit & Expo held at the Harrisburg Hilton, bringing together the architecture, engineering, and construction community; state legislators and local officials; and several school district superintendents around the state. Discussions ensued over the state of K-12 school construction funding, PlanCon update, and creative financing from across the nation. During the afternoon attendees had the pleasure of hearing from the Sandy Hook Elementary School designers and closing with how school design impacts education.
