Cherokee Lane Elementary School, constructed off-site to facilitate a compressed construction schedule, is ready to be transported to its permanent location in Prince George’s County, Maryland. While the site was being prepared, 67% of the building was constructed off-site, complete with casework, flooring, paint, mechanical systems and fixtures. Over the next few weeks, the units will be separated and transported by truck to the campus where they will be reconnected into one complete building. Exterior masonry and siding will be added onsite for a permanent finish.
